George East (Housewares) Ltd is based in Leiston, Suffolk and is a leading supplier of non-food housewares, cleaning and personal care / hair care products. The company was founded over 35 years ago and has experienced a  significant growth period in the last seven years, making them one of the key non-food suppliers to major retailers today.

 

George East offers kitchenware, cleaning and personal care and beauty products under the Tala, Chef Aid, Elliot and Manicare brands. They have a significant own brand facility for a number of major retailers and their UK packing facility allows them the flexibility to provide bespoke packaging for any number of pieces.

The company has selected a complete ERP system along with De Facto CRM, Production, WMS and Business Intelligence. Due to significant company growth over the last number of years, George East needed a system that would be able to improve their business processes and make them more efficient within stock control / purchase ordering and picking sales orders.

George East will also benefit by using WMS with RF terminals to enable picking, and stock control with added improvements of better information for ordering and warehouse space utilisation.

Implementation of the project, which is for 40+ users, is currently in progress and the project is scheduled to go live during May 2013.
