This year at De Facto, instead of sending Christmas cards we are encouraging people to select or specify a charity they’d like us to donate to, which will then enter you into our Christmas Draw to be in with a chance of winning a Kindle Fire HD.
Our selected charities include two local organisations; Headway and Genesis, along with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, headquartered near the coast of Poole.
is a charity which aims to provide continued support to people, family and carers affected by brain injury. Headway’s office is located within Epilson House along with our own offices. We provide continued support to the charity and were involved in their ‘Hats for Headway’ campaign earlier in the year.
Genesis - Orwell Mencap
is another local charity which was started by parents of people with disabilities. Genesis is a service provided through the charity Mencap. Genisis’s aim is to provide personalised services supporting people with disabilities and their families and carers. It is one of the largest providers of services to people with disabilities in the region.
RNLI is a charity set up to provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service. The lifeboats have to date, saved over 7,976 lives whilst their lifeguard service has assisted over 17,671 people. The charity depends upon its network of more than 31,500 volunteers whose crucial work aids in their overall vision to end preventable loss of life at sea.
The competition will run from Monday 10th December until Midnight on 1st January 2013, the winner will be contacted in the New Year by De Facto via email to arrange receipt of their prize.
